Celebrating 25 Years of Impact: Humble ISD Education Foundation's Legacy of Empowering Educators and Changing Lives

This year marks a significant milestone for the Humble ISD Education Foundation: 25 years of making an impact in our schools and community.

“The foundation provided my classroom with tools. Drones are our tools. We're taking the resources and turning them into a real, tangible, measurable, life-changing experience,” said Joe Paneitz, Atascocita High School Teacher. “It's a really big deal. What the foundation is doing is changing lives.”

The foundation's journey began in 1999 when a group of visionaries—parents and community members—came together to unlock new opportunities for students. Their mission was simple: to inspire innovation in the classroom and empower educators.

“You can't even name all the things that the Education Foundation has done for so many teachers here,” said Janet Collins, Kingwood High School Teacher.

“Our grant was really to help these students get the tools necessary to be efficient and grow in the food service industry,” said Chef Jenkins, Summer Creek High School Teacher.

“The whole hands-on experience in the commercial kitchen has really been exciting. It's something I do want to pursue in the future,” said Alina Williams, Summer Creek High School Student.

For 25 years, the foundation has been committed to fueling creativity and supporting innovative ideas in the classroom. From prize posse grants to mini grants, our Humble ISD Education Foundation has been a steadfast supporter of lifelong learning.

“I want to get my kids the best equipment and the best experience that they can have while they're here in high school. That way, if they choose to go to college or enter the workforce, they are as prepared as possible,” said Jeffrey Mack, Atascocita High School Teacher.

“What the Education Foundation has done for my classroom has completely transformed the way I think, act, and teach. I now have tools that have opened doors for me as a teacher, allowing me to think bigger, dream bigger, and try new things,” said Joe Paneitz, Atascocita High School Teacher.

“They do so many amazing things for the district and for teachers, from the $250 mini grants to the big prize posse grants. Cheers!” said Abigail Brown, Hidden Hollow Elementary Teacher.

Over the past 25 years, our foundation has had an incredible impact, funding 2,331 grants, awarding 935 scholarships, and investing $19,300,000 in Humble ISD. And this is just the beginning. With your continued support, our Humble ISD Foundation can keep dreaming, innovating, and changing lives.

“Thank you to the foundation for dreaming big, thinking big, and being that leader for our educational community by providing the tools that help us create futures for our students,” said Joe Paneitz, Atascocita High School Teacher.

“Thank you for finding donors who want to help us. I can give more to these kids through the Education Foundation than I could out of my own pocket. I'm grateful,” said Janet Collins, Kingwood High School Teacher.
