Prize Posse

Cheers, cowbells and celebration filled campuses across Humble ISD as the Education Foundation’s Prize Posse rolled through, turning a normal school day into an unforgettable experience for teachers and students alike.

On May 1, the Foundation awarded $336,498 in Innovative Education Grants to fund 51 projects across 31 campuses. From classrooms to career pathways, each grant supports creative, student-centered ideas designed to expand opportunities and enhance learning.

The impact extends beyond a single day. During the 2025–2026 school year, the Foundation has awarded a total of $1,194,456 in support of students and educators, including $857,958 in designated grants throughout the year. Since 2000, the Foundation has invested approximately $21.9 million into Humble ISD classrooms.

Across the district, funded projects reflect a wide range of student experiences.

At Atascocita High School, students will benefit from enhanced music technology through Go Beyond the Field, a project designed to elevate performance opportunities and align with collegiate-level programs. Another project at the campus, Forklifts for the Future, provides students with workforce-ready skills connected to careers in the skilled trades.

At Autumn Creek Elementary, students will engage in hands-on STEM learning using Indi Robots to build coding and problem-solving skills. At Autumn Ridge Middle School, The Scholar’s Spotlight will bring together students, families and the community to celebrate literacy through poetry and prose, while another project expands access to classroom libraries to support English learners.

“Our teachers pour so much love, creativity and dedication into their classrooms,” said Emily Conklin, executive director of the Humble ISD Education Foundation. “The Prize Posse is our opportunity to celebrate them and support the innovative ideas they bring to their students every day.”

For many educators, the moment of surprise is emotional. For students, it is a chance to see their learning supported in real time. And for the community, it reflects a continued investment in classrooms across Humble ISD.

As the Prize Posse wrapped up its campus visits, the message was clear: when teachers are supported, students benefit.
