Excitement Rolls In: Prize Posse Delivers Over $300,000 in Grants to Humble ISD Teachers

Joy, cheers, and big surprises filled the day as four brightly decorated Humble ISD school buses rolled across the district on Friday, May 9, delivering not just smiles—but transformative classroom grants. The annual Prize Posse, hosted by the Humble ISD Education Foundation, awarded $298,537 in classroom grants, surprising and celebrating teachers whose innovative, student-centered ideas are bringing learning to life.
The celebration reached dozens of campuses, where Foundation members, district leaders, community partners, and volunteers hopped off buses to cheers and applause. In total, 60 creative classroom projects received funding—ranging from robotics programs and reading competitions to forensic science labs and beyond.

“These grants bring our educators’ ideas off the page and into the classroom,” said Jerri Monbaron, Executive Director of the Humble ISD Education Foundation. “We’re continually inspired by the creativity and passion our teachers show, and we’re proud to help make those dreams a reality.”
Each project is designed to enhance instruction and spark student engagement through hands-on, meaningful learning experiences. Teachers were celebrated in grand style—with oversized checks, balloons, and plenty of joyful tears—demonstrating the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence.
Since its founding in 2000, the Humble ISD Education Foundation has invested more than $20 million in programs that enrich learning across the district.
This year’s Prize Posse wasn’t just a celebration of funding—it was a celebration of innovation, community, and the boundless impact of educators who are empowered to dream big. Thank you to our generous donors for making this day possible!
