The Community Learning Center houses several district programs such as the Cambridge School, Spark, MOSAIC, PACE (Program of Accelerated Education), and DAEP (Disciplinary Alternative Education Program).
The Behavior Training Center (BTC) program provides a personalized learning community which focuses on the future of each student, by facilitating the acquisition of academic, behavioral, social, and transition skills necessary for success in traditional school and the community at large.
MOSAIC is a transitional program for all special education students who have spent four typical years on a high school campus and have received credit for all state graduation requirements, as well as, met all state testing requirements and wishes to continue receiving public education services under IDEA. Through individualized and direct facilitation of each student’s transitional plan within the life domains of: Independent Living, Employability, Life-long learning, and Recreational/Leisure, MOSAIC programming will ensure a more successful and engaging post secondary life for our graduates. MOSAIC concentrates on bridging the gap and skills between public education and the post secondary world in order for all students to live as independently as possible and leave Humble ISD with a foundation, skill set and support system for accessing adult living and our society, as a whole.
SPARK (Special Programs and Recreation for Kids) is an interactive program for families of preschool age children (in the age range of 3-5 by September 1st of the current school year). This program includes activities such as story time, field trips, arts and crafts, play days at local parks, and cooking with kids.
Humble ISD Wishes: Be an Educators' Wish List Hero
Humble ISD educators are always looking for new and innovative ways to engage students in their learning. Sometimes, these new ideas need additional supplies and that is where you can help. Consider supporting an educator by making a donation to their online wish list or you can make an unrestricted donation that the school will utilize to meet the highest need. When you donate, everyone comes out a winner - you get a tax deduction, your child's teacher receives the items needed and your child is excited about their learning.
