Introducing the Inspire Learning Grant
The Inspire Learning Grant is the Humble ISD Education Foundation's newly refreshed grant
program, replacing the former Innovative Education (IE) Grant. While the name and timeline
have changed, our commitment remains the same: empowering Humble ISD educators to
transform creative ideas into meaningful learning experiences that inspire student growth.
The Foundation funds projects that enrich student learning and support Humble ISD's
mission of developing each child intellectually, artistically, emotionally, physically, and socially
so that all students become lifelong learners, complex thinkers, responsible global citizens,
and effective communicators. Grants are awarded to teachers, campuses, programs, and
departments throughout the district to support creative projects that deepen student
engagement, enrich classroom instruction, and bring learning to life.
Previously funded projects have included aquaponics lab equipment, drone kits for middle
and high school students, e-books for campus libraries, interactive learning technology, and
countless other experiences that bring learning to life for Humble ISD students.

Students Helping Veterans: Big Heroes, Tiny Homes

Melissa Taylor, Kingwood Park High School
The mission of Students Helping Veterans: Big Heroes, Tiny Homes is to create a student-stocked tiny home community for homeless veterans in the Houston area through partnerships with nonprofits, businesses, and private individuals in our community. The project seeks to provide a sense of community and safety to these individuals who have formerly lived on the streets of Houston, and to ultimately foster the development of similar projects across the nation. The Foundation is proud to support the project through various grants.
The Future Scientist Initiative Program
Terra Farmer, Kingwood High School
The Future Scientist Initiative Program inspires a new generation of scientists by fostering a deep curiosity about the world through engaging science outreach initiatives. High school students assume the role of mentors and lead an electrifying series of outreach adventures at the elementary and middle schools in Humble ISD. These high school scientists cover a range of captivating subjects, including Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Aerospace, and Ecology.

Beep! Beep! The Summer Book cart is in! Students at Jack Fields Elementary will roll into this celebration and select a new set of books for the summer. Families partner with educators to encourage continuous summer reading, extend learning outside of the classroom, and mitigate the summer reading slide.
