Richard O’Keefe, III “Tres” Scholarship Fund

Richard O’Keefe III, known to most as Tres, was tragically taken away too soon on February 12, 2022. Tres was a 2021 graduate from Atascocita High School, where he played golf throughout his four years there. Tres was well known on the team as the jokester and to the surprise of his family, he was selected as most improved player in his sophomore year. While Tres was an enormous part of his family’s life, the Atascocita golf team became like a second family to him for those 4 years. He made the best of friends and shared many great memories and smiles on the courses even when he didn’t have the best of scores. His favorite high school course was welding and he had hopes of becoming a welder. The summer after graduating high school, Tres became a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 60 and was employed as an apprentice for Bernhard MRC. On his off days, Tres loved mudding on four wheelers with friends followed by his favorite meal from Whataburger.
